Volunteering is one of the core principles of Doctors of the World. As of our establishment and to this date, we have created a qualified network of volunteers which, based on their will to contribute, cover a wide range of needs and contributes actively to enhancing the momentum of the organization.
Our volunteer resources do not consist of healthcare professionals alone. Any citizen and professional can contribute within the framework of our holistic approach to the provision of humanitarian aid, thus becoming an integral part of our effort to ensure every person’s right to healthcare access without limitations.
The previous year, similar to the years before, hundreds of volunteers offered their services on a daily basis, making a substantial contribution to offering relief to our fellow humans in need.
At the same time, working together with the delegations of Doctors of the World in Spain, Belgium, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, Doctors of the World participated in the “EU Aid Volunteers - Technical Assistance” project, aiming to empower the organization and develop the skills of volunteers through appropriate tools for crisis management and their participation in international missions.
